well, his birthday was a week ago but i finally am getting around to his six year old session. i can’t believe he is this old already! i wish i had a picture of him when he was born to post on here as well to compare. he was our tiny little one. born 7 weeks early. it is still strange to look at pictures of him from the hospital with tubes and all. but here is he getting so big and so full of life. he is a spirited little boy and has such fun every day. so here he is .
the season for newborns is at hand. well it seems that way at least. new life beginning. (and i swear that today i was surrounded by pregnant people, every other woman i saw was expecting!)
this little sweetie joins her two older brothers to complete the family. mom and dad are tickled pink with their little princess and she will certainly be royalty. i was just reminded of a line from one of my favorite movies, “all women are princesses it is our right” from The Little Princess. so true. so true.

and for people that i know i can be persuaded into being an unofficial extra person with a camera. but i have NO interest in being the sole provider of the portraits from the special day. too much pressure. it was a beautiful wedding and the bride looked amazing. here are some of my favorites from the wedding i went to this weekend. here’s hoping the happy couple is having lots of fun in the sun as they escape from their lives for a week!

the day of love. well at least a good day to celebrate. and eat LOTS of chocolate! but then again who needs an excuse for that! i did the valentines for my kids and thought i would share them with you all.
a few quick notes first! things are certainly hopping around here. weekends are almost totally booked through the end of april. there are still a few weekday sessions left so please contact me asap to get your date on my calendar. and look for a blog special to pop up sometime in the next day or so, something to celebrate valentines day. and there will be one other blog event before the end of the month. keep checking back.

I got to meet the sweetest little girl this weekend. Well, we all know that they are all super sweet. But she was just adorable. I had a wonderful time meeting her and her parents. (and her puppies too) Here are a couple sneak peeks from our session. There were so many that I love that it was hard to pick just a couple to share with her parents while I get the rest ready. So here we go! I am looking forward to watching her grow up over the next year.

So in keeping with my goal to actually keep the blog updated and have some current posting, here is a preview from a session from this past weekend. This was my second time to see Mr. H and he has gotten so big. He was so full of personality and smiles. He loved grabbing his little toes and he was making all kinds of noises at us! Super cute. Here are a couple of my favorites from the session. The rest will be to mom soon!
I found this post over at a blog I visit (one of my friends) showing all the glories of studio photography, granted it is mostly from the 1970’s but it is still fun to look at. And quite the reminder how far photography has come and why I am so glad that people recognize that there are better options!
