This week I met two precious children, a big brother and his little sister. He is quite the helper in taking care of her and worked to help get her to smile during our time together. I loved watching him give her sweet kisses and thought this image captured a special moment between them. I know Mom has been anxiously awaiting a preview so here it is! The rest will be coming ASAP.And then we had fun talking to each other and working on capturing those special expressions and moments, since as anyone with children knows – they get old so fast!And the little miss, with her bow and her necklace was so sweet. She was an absoulte doll and seeing her light up when she saw you make a face at her was priceless.

I love fall. The gorgeous leaves with their deep and varied colors. And a pile of leaves and a couple kids are like magnets to each other. We had a great time at our recent session playing in the leaves and capturing some amazing images. These two were so funny. Sweet and charming , but spunky and spirited all at the same time. It is such a joy to be able to capture personalities and not just “fake” smiles. So here is a quick preview of these charming and precious little ones . . .

Snips, snails, and puppy dog tails are what little boys are made of. Or so they say. This little guy is a bundle of energy and so much fun. His love of all things sports was clear and quite adorable. I had the great fortune to be able to see this family twice now! I met them last October and was very excited to see then again. It never ceases to amaze me how much difference a year makes in children.

But, here are a couple quick peeks at our session while I get the rest finished up.

I had the awesome privilege and loads of fun photographing this family. Their little man is a precious six months old and just sitting. But don’t let him fool you he is a mover and a shaker. He has an adorable giggle that you just want to record and play over and over. He is quite the expressive little guy and was a joy to meet. Watching him and his parents together was so much fun! You can just see the joy, love, and total adoration they have for him. He is truly blessed to be treasured by two amazing parents. I had such a hard time choosing which images to share here, but these are a few from our session. I could have shown so many more. Precious baby feet and hands, just with mom, just with dad . . . . but these seemed like a good place to start.

This sweet little missy met me last week for a quick session. She is the happiest thing around and was a joy to spend time with. I think we might have been outside on the coldest day ever in May! But anyway, here are a couple quick previews from our time together.

My sweet niece came to visit me for her 6 month pictures. You see we have an exclusive photography arrangement that she has to fly to California from Florida to see me for her pictures But seriously she came with her parents for a visit that just “happened” to coincide with her 6 month birthday. I am already working on arranging her 1 year visit. She is of course adorable. Very fun and smiley – - – until the camera comes out. Then she gets very serious. Which is totally precious in an entirely different way. She has deep brown eyes that are so pretty. So different from my kids blue eyes. So without further ado . . . here is Ramona at 6 months.

My plan was to get this posted prior to Valentines Day, but my best laid plans often get away from me. In keeping with my annual trend of doing custom valentines for my children we had to do them again this year. The boys are a bit less than eager, since they are still not totally big on the girls . . . yet. But I suppose by the time Valentines excite them again, they will be picking them for special girls, not the whole class. So we got a bit silly and creative this year for their cards. Had to be cool enough to give to everyone without making it sound like they really liked the girls. So this is what we came up with.

We got them done and handed out to the classes. It is always fun to do the exchange and look over the massive valentine loot that they acquired. It could rival a Halloween goody bag. So for all of you a happy belated Valentines Day!

It is crazy how fast Christmas is approaching. I am amazed at how quickly the year goes by. As a child the year seemed soooo long. It took forever. Now as an adult each year flies past. The season is a prime time to remember to be thankful for all the many blessings in my life and also to take time to savor the moments now. To remember my children the age they are now. For to soon they will be even bigger. The perfect reason for new pictures

Here is a sweet little one working on her Christmas card pictures. Her hat was precious and she has some very captivating, wide brown eyes, – you just can’t help but look!

I had the pleasure of meeting this little guy and his family this weekend. He woke up just for our time together and was so much fun. I love the seeing the different personalities that they have at such young ages. This little fellow did not disappoint. He had me laughing quite a bit. He knows what he wants. What also warms my heart is seeing the devotion and interaction between the family. It is always a joy to see parents playing with their children and to be a guest to witness that. It always bears repeating, but years go by so fast! Thank you for allowing me to visit with your family and capture this time for you.

Brother and sister. Together and happy. It is always a pleasure to be able to preserve those moments. These two are so sweet to each other and play together beautifully. Family is such a blessing and a gift. To teach our children while they are young to be friends is so important. I treasure images of my children like these.

Miss J is so very sweet and proper. She loves all things ballet and gymnastics (and frogs too). She was also more than happy to have her picture taken. That makes things so much easier

Mr. C is such a little gentleman. With such a twinkle in his eye though you know he is all boy – but still so respectful and loving.

And who could resist a picture of little Miss J with her daddy. We all know how those little girls wrap their daddies right around their fingers. A precious moment to remember.
