sibling love | los gatos childrens photographer

This week I met two precious children, a big brother and his little sister. He is quite the helper in taking care of her and worked to help get her to smile during our time together. I loved watching him give her sweet kisses and thought this image captured a special moment between them. I know Mom has been anxiously awaiting a preview so here it is! The rest will be coming ASAP.PBJ_9968And then we had fun talking to each other and working on capturing those special expressions and moments, since as anyone with children knows – they get old so fast!PBJ_9880PBJ_9905And the little miss, with her bow and her necklace was so sweet. She was an absoulte doll and seeing her light up when she saw you make a face at her was priceless. PBJ_9793PBJ_9799

pb&j photography – the iPhone edition | bay area photographer

Being married to a techie I can’t help but jump in with new technologies. I have been secretly desiring an iPhone app for awhile. Just in general. Having one for pb&j was the perfect combination of having fun with technology and sharing with my clients a bit of me on the go. In the app we will have a daily image featuring recent sessions as well as some old favorites. The News page will give you the latest promotions and updates I have going on and who doesn’t love that kind of stuff. You can easily access my blog through the click of a button as well as email or call me from the app! And since my own children play with my phone almost as much as I do I could not let it go without something for them to do! So I have a memory game featuring images as well. These images will change regularly to feature my clients! How fun would it be to find yourself in the game!

I am very excited about this new technology and can’t wait to see what other features and things I can implement with it!  You can find the application by searching for pb&j photography or clicking here.

A bit of fall fun | santa clara family photographer

I love fall. The gorgeous leaves with their deep and varied colors. And a pile of leaves and a couple kids are like magnets to each other. We had a great time at our recent session playing in the leaves and capturing some amazing images. These two were so funny. Sweet and charming , but spunky and spirited all at the same time. It is such a joy to be able to capture personalities and not just “fake” smiles. So here is a quick preview of these charming and precious little ones . . .PBJ_6987bPBJ_7032b

the joy of a boy | menlo park photographer

Snips, snails, and puppy dog tails are what little boys are made of. Or so they say. This little guy is a bundle of energy and so much fun. His love of all things sports was clear and quite adorable. I had the great fortune to be able to see this family twice now! I met them last October and was very excited to see then again. It never ceases to amaze me how much difference a year makes in children.

But, here are a couple quick peeks at our session while I get the rest finished up.

big smiles | palo alto baby photographer

I had the awesome privilege and loads of fun photographing this family. Their little man is a precious six months old and just sitting. But don’t let him fool you he is a mover and a shaker. He has an adorable giggle that you just want to record and play over and over. He is quite the expressive little guy and was a joy to meet. Watching him and his parents together was so much fun! You can just see the joy, love, and total adoration they have for him. He is truly blessed to be treasured by two amazing parents. I had such a hard time choosing which images to share here, but these are a few from our session. I could have shown so many more. Precious baby feet and hands, just with mom, just with dad . . . . but these seemed like a good place to start. PBJ_5644sb

welcome levi | palo alto newborn photographer

Precious. I simply adore newborns. Their smallness and complete and total innocence. Having the privilege to capture the first special days of a new life is simply amazing. I had the honor of meeting Levi this week. He was perfection in every way. I enjoyed our time together and wanted to share a few quick images. I have been a bit behind with some technical difficulties, but everything is almost back in perfect working order (my hard drive crashed!) So here he is . . . Levi.PBJ_4843b

new little k | mountain view newborn photographer

I had the pleasure of meeting this little man and his family this week. He is 2 weeks young. Simply precious and adorable he wanted to stay up and look at us for the longest time, but when he finally gave in to the sweet peace of sleep he was out for the count. Mom was so relaxed and excited about our session. See, he is a second child and as parents of more than one child goes it is so much easier to skip things like newborn pictures. First born children usually get all the perks, like having the fullest photo album. But this little guy is off to a smashing start! And since he is absolutely adorable how could he not!

sweet little girl | mountain view photographer

This sweet little missy met me last week for a quick session. She is the happiest thing around and was a joy to spend time with. I think we might have been outside on the coldest day ever in May! But anyway, here are a couple quick previews from our time together. blog3

big brown eyes | mountain view baby photographer

My sweet niece came to visit me for her 6 month pictures. You see we have an exclusive photography arrangement that she has to fly to California from Florida to see me for her pictures ;) But seriously she came with her parents for a visit that just “happened” to coincide with her 6 month birthday. I am already working on arranging her 1 year visit. She is of course adorable. Very fun and smiley – - – until the camera comes out. Then she gets very serious. Which is totally precious in an entirely different way. She has deep brown eyes that are so pretty. So different from my kids blue eyes. So without further ado . . . here is Ramona at 6 months.PBJ_2785

Baby Colin | mountain view newborn photographer

I had the pleasure of meeting a new family this week. They just welcomed their first little one to the world! And he is adorable. Doted on by Mommy and Daddy as well as his Grandparents! He started out our time together wide eyed, but finally he gave into exhaustion and went to sleep. He was so precious and cooperative. I had an excellent time and am looking forward to going through the rest of the images from our time together. But for now here are a few previews!

I also have to add that this truly is a small world. In the last few weeks I have met more people from “home” and it has been so nice to be able to talk to people who appreciate the simple things in life, like Chick-fil-A. I am sure there will one day be one out here in the Bay Area, but until then . . .
